Chicks and flowers

I haven't actually done any stitching al all since my last post :-( it has been rather busy around these parts recently and it looks like it's going to continue to be busy all the way through until the end of May! I'll have to sneak some stitching in somewhere or I'll go mad!
Here are the pics I promised last time :-)
This little cutie is from the current issue of CrossStitcher magazine, stitched with DMC on 32ct white linen. A quick and enjoyable stitch and I think he would look fab as a scissor fob.
Next up is L*K Summer Basket.

Stitched on 28ct mystery evenweave with DMC. This was a super quick stitch, I really got into it and couldn't put it down :-)

Finally, it's time to announce a winner for my spring chart giveaway :-)

Well, that's it for today folks. I'm off to a Girlguiding 'meet and eat' tomorrow night for all the adult members/leaders in the local area. It should be good fun, but first I meed to get baking! I'm taking along some Triple Chocolate Brownies (well, I am a Brownie leader!) and I'm also making some Caramelised Onion Relish to take along too. We're having hot dogs and burgers, sounds so yummy but not great for the diet! BTW I lost a pound and a half last week :-)
Off now to fire up the oven.

Back on track

The weather here in south-west Scotland seems to be getting back on track for the time of year. This past week has seen rising temps and clear blue skies :-) I've even been able to get some washing dried outside! In the garden I see daffodils starting to sprout and there are snowdrops and crocus flowers to be found on my morning walks. It is also getting lighter in the evenings now too :-) Maybe we can finally wave goodbye (and good riddance!) to winter :-)

Also back on track is my weightloss :-) After the half pound gain last week, I've worked really hard this week and have lost two and a half pounds :-) That makes a total of fifteen pounds lost, I'm very happy :-D

Stitching wise this week, I've stitched two more spring designs, one is L*K Spring Basket (see above) and the other was a little easter egg design from the current issue of CrossStitcher. No pics yet :-( naughty Sadie! Promise I'll do a proper stitchy update with pics next week.
