Before starting the butterfly, I managed to finish up the Angel from Simply Red Ornaments by Imaginating but it's not ironed yet so you'll have to wait for a pic of that one :-)
Next up, today is weigh in day! And, uh-oh! This week I gained half a pound :-(
I'm not really that upset about it though, I did have a pizza pig out one night, and I hurt my ankle on wednesday night so I couldn't do my thursday last chance workout and I also had my period too, so I'm just going to take the gain and move forward. I knew that I would at some point have a week where I gained instead of lost and I was a little worried about how I would react when it happened. I pictured myself reaching for the chocolate and ice cream to make myself feel better! That is what I have always done in the past, and that is also why I am overweight in the first place! But it hasn't happened, and although I didn't lose any weight this week, I still feel really proud of myself for reacting in a positive way. Strange but true :-)
So, this weekend is going to be a busy one. On Saturday I have a rag rug making workshop to go to, I'm really looking forward to it. I always get a little nervous going to things like this by myself, it's the little kid in me - what if no one talks to me, what if I can't do it - well to combat this I think of my best friend Kim. When she lived close by, we were always doing new things and it was such fun, when she moved away I stopped doing stuff because I had no one to go with. This year I'm trying to change that, and thinking of Kim helps me to remember to not let the fear of the unknown stop me from getting out there and doing stuff. I have a tear in my eye now, better not cry onto the keyboard, it might fry the circuits!
Onto Sunday, and I have a Brownie Guide get together to attend for World Thinking Day (find out more here) which will take up the whole afternoon, should be good fun! And then on Sunday evening I will crash on the sofa and maybe, just maybe do some cross stitch :-)
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend,
Sadie x

Love the butterfly , I've been thinking of stitching some of them for birthday cards . Well done for your positive thinking . 1/2 lb is not much in the scheme of things . X
Lovely butterfly. ½lb is nothing really but well done not reaching for the chocolate and ice cream.
A lovely butterfly to adorn your scissors :)
Good luck and have fun at the rag rug making day! It'll be a fantastic good time!
Lovely butterfly - enjoy the weekend!
Well done for the positive thinking Sadie. 1/2 lb is not a lot...sometimes I get weighed, jump off have a wee wee and I'm 1/2 lb lighter!!!
When you spoke of getting out there by yourself you made me well up too! We're moving areas in the near future and the thought does terrify me slightly. Like you, I'm just going to force myself to attend as many groups as possible. Having children and a hobby definitely makes you make new friends a lot quicker!
Lovely butterfly and a reminder that spring is near!!
Pretty butterfly! I'm a lot like you when it comes to meeting new people/doing new things, but you're braver than me because I rarely end up going. Have a great time x
Love the colors in your butterfly. Awesome stitching :)
Maybe if we all stitch butterflies in spring colors SPRING will actually come!! Love the butterfly :) (this weather is ridiculous, bring on the spring!)
Love the butterfly! Very pretty colours. I've never tried rug making, but it sounds like fun!
Really pretty butterfly Sadie. Hope you enjoyed your rug making.
What a sweet finish! I hope you enjoyed the rug making--sounds like fun! I commend you for going--I am still at the 'I can't walk in by myself' stage! :P
