Brown Owl!

This post's for you :-) :-) :-) (some pics of 'Lo would be nice!)
So, the kids are back at school and I am beginning to get back into my routine. Kinda!
I've taken on a couple of new things this year which will mean a little less time for stitching but that's okay. I'm now a Brownie Guide leader in training, and I will be helping out at the kids school too.
Now onto the stitching, yes I have done some! Apologies first for the less than stellar pictures, my camera is on the fritz :-(
It was our wedding anniversary on Monday, eight years. I stitched this little pillow, and personalised it with our names. I thought about changing the colours to be more like our wedding but I like it the way it is. At our wedding, I wore a red dress and Stuart, being a Scotsman, wore a kilt.
Little House Needleworks 'Trustworthy and True'
26ct Forget Me Not Blue evenweave
Crescent Colours Belle Soie silk
Next up is my first Halloween stitch of the year.
Lizzie*Kate 'Halloween Flip It'
28ct tobacco evenweave
DMC & Gast floss
Lastly here is my newest start, another halloween design, from this years JCS halloween ornament issue. The fabric I am using is from Sparklies and this colour is called Thalia.
Well, that's all I have for now. I am hoping to get a few more designs kitted up today, with less stitching time I don't want to be wasting it by having to go hunting for stuff.
I hope you all have a great week and it is so nice to be blogging again, I've missed you all.
Sadie x

Lovely stitching! Your wedding sounds like it was really fun and colourful--congrats on your anniversary! :D :D :D

Your Hallowe'en stitching is also lookin' good! I have about eleventy-billion things I want to stitch this year...sigh...I'm thinking of continuing on with it until after Thanksgiving. :P

Good luck with your extra duties; the brownie leader thing sounds fun (if tiring, lol!)

I love your anniversary pillow Sadie. A red wedding dress??! Wow, would really like to see the photos. I wanted to make a statement on my wedding day but red doesn't suit me in the slightest despite being very dark. I chose a dress with feathers instead!
Your Sparklies fabric is fab - I've been looking for some unusual Halloween-y fabrics to use this year. Purple is my favourite colour too!

Good to see you posting again Sadie! What a lovely little pillow - congratulations on your anniversary. Love your L*K finish and what great fabric for the ornament! Enjoy being a Brownie Guide leader!

The pillow is just lovely.
That purple fabric on your halloween one is just awesome! :)

I used to be a brownie leader as well as a scout leader. It's very rewarding, if time consuming.
Just remember if you're not having fun then maybe it's time to do something else!

Well hello there Curly. Your stitching finishes in recent posts are fab and I love the anniversary one. It's mine today but sadly no stitching for my poor neglected dh! Your wish is my command and I've posted pics of Lo and a few other things that have been keeping me busy these last months without Brownies. Your top has arrived so you'll be so official looking next Tues. Bx

Happy anniversary to you and your husband, I love your gift that you made! I love the Lizzie Kate as well, I made the same one last year. Good to see you back even though you may not be able to pop in as much as you like. Have fun with all the activities that you are volunteering in for your children.
