Be mine

Valentines day was lovely. Stuart gave me a card which included special love vouchers that I can 'spend'. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink! And he also gave me a book, Breathless by Dean Koontz.
I'm not sure if the vouchers and Breathless was deliberate or a happy accident! LOL
I am busy knitting and stitching this week so I will hopefully get to read it next week, if I manage to drag my eyes away from the coverage of the winter olympics. Anyone else hooked? I so am.
So, for v-day I gave Stuart this little pillow. I stitched this up last week and finished it up on Saturday night whilst Stuart was out drumming.
32ct white linen
CC Bandana & WDW Onyx
Stitched 1 over 2
Red velvet and matching ribbon from stash
Finished as a pillow for my sweet x
I also gave him some pyjamas and made him the shortbread and strawberry cupcakes I mentioned last time. Decorated with the pink sugar I made. I wanted to get a picture of him holding the pillow, doing his best 'I'm so in love' look but he said no.
I also wanted a picture of him wearing his new pj's ;-) but he said no to that too.
Oh well, we'll just have to settle for another pic of the pillow.
I have some wonderful news to share with you. One of my closest, very bestest of friends, Hazel and her partner Ross, welcomed their second child into the world yesterday. Callum was a whopping 9lbs 9oz and mother and baby are doing fine. Now, I can be out of my kitchen and into Hazels kitchen in under a minute, we live that close to each other, but I have a rotten cold and so I'll have to wait until it is gone before I can go and get some baby love. Congratulations to you both x

I am knitting myself another Baktus scarf at the moment, it's nearly finished and then I will be stitching up the fobs for the winners of my OWOH giveaway. After that I would quite like to stitch some spring/easter designs. I think it would be nice to have a few things I can display for the spring that will brighten up our home a little, as right now we don't have anything spring/easter related. That's the plan anyway.

Well, I'm off to make lunch, then a knitting I will go.

Have a great week,

Sadie x

That's a darling finish - your husband sounds a lot like mine as to whether and how he'll pose for photo-ops. :-)

I love the little finish I have seen a few others stitch this one and I just love how everyone has finished theirs off! Very Beautiful! Glad you had a great Valentines day. Mine was good as well. Get well soon. We had the stomach flu run through here so I am just now back to normal and ready to stitch again.

Aww shucks... a pic of Stuart in his PJ's -and- holding the pillow would've been precious. :)

Nice job on the pillow. Glad you had a good Valentines Day.

That pillow turned out fantastic. Love it!!! Tell your husband he's a spoilsport because he deprived us from seeing him with cushion or in his pajamas.
Looking forward to see your Bactus scarf finished. I'm knitting right now too...while watching the Olympics. Hopefully you'll be better soon so that you can cuddle the baby!!!

Glad you have a friend close by. I wish Stuart would have posed in his pj's for you. The card with vouchers was really nice of him. Jack would get the card , but anything to have to do with vouchers, nope! The pillow you made for Stuart is really nice. I love those keys that are in the picture as well. Have a great day Sadie and get lots of knitting done for us to see!

Love the pillow and yes Stuart is a spoil sport lol. I need to pick my knitting needles up after about 20 odd years of not knitting as my daughter wants me to knit her some bootees for the upcoming baby :) Plus I need to get on with parts 2 and 3 of the crochet throw!

Very sweet little love pillow! I just printed the chart to stitch after seeing how cute yours turned out. Sounds like you two had a great V'day. I think we need to see Mr. Stuart in those PJs though. I'm just sayin'...

I love it! So pretty that I don't even mind missing your DH in his pj's or mooning over said pillow. ;)

I think your spring plan is is EXCELLENT, and I fully intend to follow suit as soon as I finish up my Hallowe'en and Christmas stitching. ;) lol Say, this time next year?

Luckily, I got to make an Easter exchange, but on the other hand I don't get to keep it!

Love your Love finish. :) The pillow is beautiful.
Darn that man for not letting you take his picture! :) Hey, here's an idea. Wait until he is sleeping in his new pjs and place the Love pillow near by. Voila! LOL

Congrats to your friends new addition. Big baby.

Great job on the "Love" pillow, seems it was a very popular design to stitch.

I'm addicted to the Olympics too, watching all that I can.

A lovely finish. I can't understand why your honey wouldn't pose for the pajama picture! What's up with that! :)
