Absolutly plastered. This is my left hand, it's still a little swollen but it is healing very well. The psoriasis did spread to my right hand and my left foot but only 4 or 5 spot/blisters on each. So although still sore, nowhere near as bad as my left hand. Taping my hand up means that I am able to knit. Still can't cross stitch though, but I'm thinking I'll be stitching by the weekend :-)
Thank you all for the lovely comments and emails you sent me. I was feeling really glum last week and they really cheered me up. Thank you also to those who left advice about how to keep this at bay, I am going to try out some of the suggestions.
EDITED : There are different forms of pustular psoriasis. To clarify, I have palmoplantar pustular psoriasis (PPP) a form of pustular psoriasis only found on the palms and soles. Anyone who wants to read more can do so here.
So I have some knitting finishes to share, first up is my second Baktus scarf. A nice easy knit and it is oh so warm and cozy without being too bulky.
I love the little eyelet rows. I think cowls will be featuring again in the future as gifts for family and friends.
Lastly is a little neckwarmer I made. I used the same pattern that I used for DD's scarf, the one row lace
I have been drooling over the new market releases this past week and thinking oh well. I don't have the cash to spare at the moment to buy any new stash. We have a big rush of birthdays in March and April and then it is car tax/MOT time too. So imagine how delighted I was (running through the house whooping) when I won Beckys un-birthday giveaway of a $100 gift certificate to Down Sunshine Lane! Thank you so much Becky :-) Now I will be able to stash to my hearts content.
Off now to catch up on all your blogs :-)
Have a great week,
Sadie x

Sorry you are having to deal with the p bug. We deal with it here as well as the ecsema bug.
Hope you will be able to stitch soon.....
Your scarves are gorgeous!!
Congrats on the win... hope you have fun stashing it up whether it be cross stitch or knitting stash. It is all good!
Hot men in lycra, you crack me up! LOL! Love all the knitting, it looks fantastic! I thought about sending you an email but I wasn't sure if you'd be on the computer much with you hand. Kinda hard to peck one-handed. :) I was so glad when I read on Becky's blog that you won her giveaway! There's no one more deserving I don't think! I can't wait to see all the goodies you come up with from the win! Take care dear friend!
Congrats on your win!! Lovely knitty finishes ~ they look wonderful :)
Glad to hear your hands are doing better. My sister-in-law has psoriasis, her doctor told her to go tanning...
Those bandages look sturdy! (Good for still being able to knit without them falling off.)
And you've been very productive with so many pretty finishes! :D I also like the eyelet cowl; but almost any eyelet's a good one in my book.
I am so happy to hear you are on the mend. Your knitting is beautiful. I am so jealous. I want to learn so badly but I can't get the hang of it on my own. I have no one out here that teaches one on one:(
I hope your hands are doing better. But even if you can't stitch your knitting is just lovely.
Huge congrats on winning Becky's giveaway. What a great prize. I hope you can find some fabulous stash to buy with it. If you have any trouble just let me know. LOL
Glad things are on the mend and great knitting. I love wooden buttons too
Glad you are at least able to knit, it looks great, really like that last one with the buttons, so cute. Hope you can get back to stitching soon.
I'm glad to hear that you're healing up and I love the knitting - that one with the buttons? WANT! LOL
Ouch, your poor hand looks really sore. I hope it's better soon. All of your knitting looks so pretty and warm! Congrats on winning that fab GC from Becky!!!
Congrats on winning the certificate on Becky's blog! You really can stock up on some stash now! Love the finishes, they are really great! Glad to hear you are getting better.
Congrats on winning the blog giveaway!
Your knitting looks very nice; hope your hand heals quickly.
Lovely knitting!
Your hand doesn't look too good, I hope it gets better real soon.
Congrats! on the win woohoo!!
Your knitting is gorgeous
Glad your able to knit and your hand is finally settling down. Love your projects too.
Glad your hand is a bit better and you are able to knit Sadie, your scarves are lovely and you will sure need them with all that snow again today.
What a fantastic giveaway to win. Have fun buying all that new stash.
Beautiful knitting and I love the last one with the wooden buttons - looks lovely and warm. What a great prize to win - enjoy you shopping.
Hope you can overcome the skin problems! Not good for someone who likes to do things with your hands. Lovely knitting and BIG congrats on the huge GC!!!!!
Hope your psoriasis clears up soon, your knitting is lovely.

Hope you're feeling better. Lovely knitting!
Beautiful knitting, makes me wish it stayed cold here long enough to need a scarf.
Even the men in all their pads playing hockey looked hot...hehehe I'm so bad.
Oh your poor hand! I'm glad things are starting to improve. Love all your knitting finishes. Congrats on winning such a lovely giveaway. Enjoy spending that gift certificate!
Awww! You poor thing!!! Well, I will put in a few stitches on your behalf tonight, ok? "One stitch for me, one for Sadie, one stitch for me, one for Sadie..." Or maybe not, I would probably mis count and have the frogs a-hoppin'! At least you can knit! That is something, and hopefully soon you will be stitching again!
Your finishes are beautiful!!
Are you 100% sure that it's pustular psoriasis? The most common places these pustules appear are the anal and genital area and bends and folds in your skin. They can also occur under your nails and cause your nails to come off. But on your hands? What do your knees and elbows look like? My daughter now ages 28 has had it since puberty. It's incurable but can be managed. sunshine works for some, but she (who lives in a subtropical climate) gets better in winter, so has gone to Finland for her holidays this year.
Oh gosh, even bandaged up, that looks painful! At least you're able to knit, and what you knit is just fantastic. YGG Sadie!! I love the yarn that you chose, too.
You reminded me--with a jolt--that the car tax is due on my car, too, by the end of the month. GULP. I better get the credit card out! I'm glad you won the giveaway--can't wait to hear what you decide to get.
Oh, that looks so bothersome, Sadie... I hope it clears up soon and I'm glad you can still knit!
Sadie, sorry to hear you're having troubles and can't stitch! But you sure have been knitting up a storm!
Wow lucky you winning a draw like that. So far I think I'm lucky the current stitching trends don't take my fancy at all. (I remember those years where I easily dropped 150$ after market!)
Your scarfs are beautiful. Glad to hear you will be stitching soon.
Your knitting is very beautiful.
Good to read that your hands are getting better so that you will soon be able to stitch again. Hopefully. So that you can use all the new stash that you will get with Becky's gift certificate. Such a great and generous win. Enjoy everything.
I discovered your blog when searching for eczema, specifically PPP. I've just been diagnosed (after seeing three "doctors" and a specialist). I also am addicted to cross stitch as well. I found out from my local needlework shop that I should try using platinum plated needles (she said the gold ones "wear off"). I've been suffering since November '09, and I have it on both hands. Hope your steroid creams work for you, mine aren't doing much.
Good luck, and I'll be checking back!
Blessings
Diane M.
