I finished the scarf for DD. I actually finished it last week but someone(!?) wore it to school and left it there so no pics until now. Thankfully she really likes it. It is soft and warm, might make one for myself. But in a different colour, I'm not a 'sweet cicely pink' kinda gal :-)
BTW I'm on Ravelry now :-) but am sadly friendless :-(
My i.d. is sleepback so come be my friend if you are there too.
Lainey wanted to know where I buy my yarn. I have a local yarn shop where I get some of my yarn. They always have a large container of 'sale' yarn and I like to rummage about in. I have also purchased yarn fron ebay too, I don't like to spend too much money on yarn and you can get some great bargains there. Finally, I am a member of my local freecycle/freeshare goups and have received some great yarn from there too. HTH
Well that's all for this week. I have sick children here, some sort of tummy bug, so my time has been filled with other, more icky things! I think DS is trying it on a little but DD has been quite ill, poor thing. But showing much improvement today thankfully, I have had some lovely smiles this morning, I've really missed her smiles this past week. It's fantastic to have them back :-)

Bye for now,

sweet valentine stitches &nice scarf
hope your little peeps are better soon
Love the stitching Sadie! I agree, there are some good deals on ebay. I bought some Plymouth Happy Feet on there some time back and really liked working with it. The socks I made with it were a gift so I didn't get to keep them, snif snif. I do have several pair for myself that I have made with other yarns , so I'm good! My mom used to always give us burned toast when we had an upset stomach. It's the charcoal that calms it down. The kids might fight the idea though. You can get charcoal tablets can be swigged down with a favorite drink. I am so glad that Caitlin is feeling a lot better today. I'm glad she is able to smile for you! I'm sure brother will soon follow. Keeping fingers crossed! Have a great weekend!
Sadie,
I like the Valentine treat you stitched....I also have one from The Stitcherhood that I just finished up and need to finish. I think it will be a cube.
Love the scarf also! That's something I'd like to learn is knitting. Just need to find someone to teach me!
I love your LOVE piece... cannot wait to see you finish it off...
The scarf is a pretty pink.
I also am a freecycle member and have received quite a bit of my stash that way.
Hope the kids get better and you do not catch what they have.
What a lovely scarf and the stitching will make a gorgeous pillow. Hope the children are better soon
Beautiful Valentine and scarf. Both are very lovely.
I'm a member of Ravelry too and just added you as friend. Not sure if I did it correct, I'm quite new to that too.
Love the valentine finish and your daughters scarf is very pretty.
My Mum is the knitter in our family but as you know there used to be a wool shop in every high street but not any more. I will check out ebay for her thanks. I am in south lanarkshire, what part of our beautiful country do you live.
I am also having my first blog giveaway so please pop over.
Sadie,
Really nice stitching and your knitting is just perfect too.
I love this little Valentine design and have it printed out to stitch. Yours looks great. Love the scarf! Hope everyone is healthy again soon!
Beautiful Works! I'm not much of a pink-pink gal, either, but I do like that pattern! Looking forward to seeing your finish with the lace. :D
Great stitchy finish...I just printed the chart and will probably make a no sew cube with it. The scarf is so pretty.
I love your pink one row scarf! I actually just made a one row scarf also but not lacey. It's probably my favorite scarf, so easy and I love how the texture comes out. Popped over to Raverly and "friended" you!
Great finishes, Sadie. Congratulations!!
Sadie,
What a busy gal you have been! Keep up the good work, everything looks beautiful!
The scarf looks really pretty. Congrats on your Love finish, too.
Cute finish and great knitting! Hope the kiddies are better.
I love your Love!
What a sweet for your sweet! ;) It is really nice. I need to do something like that for DH. Your scarf is fabulous, too! I hope the kids are feeling better and that you don't catch it!
Hope you are all starting to feel a little better. Such lovely stitching and I luv the pink scarf - looks cosy and warm.
