New start - Take two

Another week, another new start.
This is the 'Red Snowman' from Shepherds Bush. I saw this on Tammys' blog and just had to have it, also thanks to Tammy for the help about working with the silk floss :-) Isn't the fabric gorgeous, I can't wait to put in my first stitches.
This week I have been stitching on exchange pieces and today I finish-finished two of them. They will go in the post at the start of next week so hopefully there will be some pics soon. Yipee!

As you know last Sunday was Fathers day. I got up at 7:30am and left DH in bed to have a lie in. This is what I found in the kitchen.
Our daughter Caitlin making a hand sewn present for her Daddy. Now isn't that a wonderful thing to wake up to. Here is what she made.
Isn't it great, and Daddy loved it too. For the time being I am overlooking the fact that she used cellotape to finish off her floss ends! Eeeekk! Don't worry I feel a few lessons coming up in the summer holidays. We have put it in the special box where we keep allsorts of things that the kids have made us over the years. It is real fun to look through already.
Finally here is a pic of me and my Dad. Sorry about the glare off the specs, it's a tactic we use to take the focus off my double chin and dads lack of hair! :-)
Well, I hope you all have wonderful weekends,
Sadie x

New Beginnings

Don't you just love a new start?
I have all my supplies ready.

Floss - check
Fabric - check
New needle - check
Pattern - check
Scissors - check
Q-snaps - check

I'll start later, when the little ones are safely tucked up in bed and the housework is as done as it needs to be for today.
I hope you have a great week and that you find the time for floss, fabric and needle to meet.
Sadie x

P.S. No details on the design as it is for an exchange, so you'll just have to wait! :-)

I'm still here!

Just so unbelievably busy and hectic here right now. No pics as the little stitching I have been fitting in is all for exchanges.
I hope you are all well and finding some time to stitch.
Have a great week,
Sadie x
