Stop!

Coffee time.

I was a busy little stitching bee this past weekend and stitched the designs below, both from 'Coffee Crazy' by Lizzie*Kate. This chart along with 3 others was a gift from my good friend Carla. Thank you Carla. Isn't she the best and she knows how much I LOVE my coffee. I am enjoying a lovely cup right now. These were so fun to stitch.
On the left is 'Is it coffee yet' stitched on 32ct Light Mocha Belfast linen with all the called for DMC floss bar one which I didn't have (why am I always one floss short? story of my life! LOL), and on the right is 'Coffee Crazy' stitched on 28ct Coffee evenweave. See even the fabric names are coffee related! How cool is that.
I have also been stitching on an exchange piece so no pics of that yet :-(
I have benn doing some wonderful stash shopping with my birthday money, which is now all gone :-(
But, I did get some lovely goodies :-)
Pics will follow later in the week as my camera is not working today.
Oh well better go, I think I will do some more stitching on the exchange piece, but I hear new charts calling to me. How long do you think I will last? Yeah, I don't think it will be that long!
I'll leave you with a pic of my favourite coffee cup and hopes that you all have a wonderful week.

Secret sister stitching

A couple of weeks ago I started a new, secret, project. This is what it looked like at the start.....
......and this is what it looks like now.
I know, I know! Another craptastic photo from yours truly.
This is 'Sisters Forever' by Lizzie*Kate and is stitched using the recommended GAST floss on 28ct white opalescent lugana. This was my first time using opalescent fabric and I was a bit apprehensive as I have heard so many people say what a PITA it is to stitch on, but, I have to say that this fabric was a dream to stitch on. I got it from Silkweaver and will be buying my opalescent from them in the future.
So this was a gift for my little sister Stacy. She is the best sister in the whole wide world and in the last few weeks she has passed her driving test AND landed a new job which she loves. How great is that!
Thank you for being my number one sister (but you still can't touch anything!) x

Plugging away!

That's what I've been doing since my last update, plugging away! I'm still working on 'Curly Q Ewe' by LHN, here's an update pic.
This is definatly moving along but it seems to be going soooo slowly, all the overdyed floss. One. Stitch. At. A. Time. AAARRRGGGGHHHHH! I am seriously considering putting it to one side for a bit and doing something else over the weekend, in DMC!
I did manage to get DD's pillow made in time to give to her on her birthday, here it is.
She really liked it and I like the way it turned out.
If you have the time go and wish a happy blogaversary to Edgar and Simone, if you leave a comment you will be entered into their giveaway draws.
Well it's almost time for my little ones to go off to bed here, I have the wine chilling in readiness and some dark chocolate hidden where nobody else will find it. Oh, I do love the weekend!
Hope you have a lovely weekend,
Sadie x
