Girly Girl Gift

I finished the stitching on my daughters birthday gift today, I think she will love it.
the design is called Petites Lettres Rouges and is a contest freebie found at the Blackbird Designs blog. Stitched on 28ct ash rose jobelan with GAST (red grape & oatmeal) and Crescent Colours (house wine & razzelberry) floss. I am going to make this into a pillow for her, i'll have wait until Monday to do that though as it's a surprise. SSSSHHHHHHH, don't tell!

Back to working on Curly Q Ewe this weekend, hope to make some good progress now that I have all the floss colours.

New starts and better pics

I have started two new projects since my last update. The first is something I am stitching for my daughters birthday in a weeks time. I haven't got a pic of any stitching yet but here is a pic of the floss toss.
Lovely girly colours for my little girly girl. She is going to be eight and is very excited!
My other new start is another LHN, 'Curly Q Ewe'. This is stitched on a pale pink fabric not white as it looks in the pic. This is really fun to stitch, I especially like the swirly sheep. I didn't have a couple of the floss colours needed but I got those yesterday so I will hopefully be able to crack on with this once I have finished DD's gift.

Also, as promised, here is a pic of the gift I stitched and framed for my MIL for mothers day.

It's not the best picture, I guess I will have to remember to take pics before framing in the future.
