Back to school, back to stitching.

Not much stitching done this week as my kids were off school for the half term holiday.
I'm sure I never got this much time off when I was a girl!
So these pics are from last week.
I got the next four parts of the Oak Haven Designs SAL stitched.
My favourite so far is March.

I also started 'Home of a Needleworker Too' by Little House Needleworks.
This was my first nights progress.
And this is what it looks like after a couple more evenings.
I'm going to stitch some more on this tonight, hopefully I will finish off the outline of the windows and door on the house. I love this design and have loved working with the crescent colours floss, the colour changes are beautiful. And the best thing about this piece?

It's mine all mine. Yup that's right, I'm keeping this one.

Well hopefully a bit more stitching will be done in the week to come, hope you find the time too.

Midweek Finishes

Okay, first up is the February stamp from L*K.
I didn't have all the colours for this so I used the closest I had. Not sure how I will finish it yet but at least it is done before the month is finished......

.......unlike the next piece!
This is the January part of the Oak Haven SAL
I stitched this on a piece of hand dyed fabric from Joan at Sapphire Stitching. I made a bit of a boo boo on one of the hands but at least now I know no one will have one quite like mine! LOL
Hopefully I will get the next part stitched this week too. Fingers crossed!
Have a happy rest of the week!

Love is in the air

Well it is at my house! This is the gift I sent out for the Valentine exchange on HoE.
It went to live with Karen, who found this when she opened it.
'All you need is love' freebie by The Drawn Thread. Stitched on 28ct evenweave with DMC Floss. I enjoyed stitching this and I loved doing all the different stitches, most of them new to me.
I am really liking The Drawn Thread. They have lots of lovely freebies. below is the whole package, I had a hard time parting with the cute little bag!
This is what I received for the Valentine Exchange. This lovely piece is from Sandra in Barbados. I have hung this pretty in my bedroom, where else!
Sandra also made me this beautiful doily, after reading that I was trying to learn crochet. I hope I am this good one day!
Below is the whole package I received.
What a fab exchange.
This week I have been stitching a biscornu for an exchange, so no pics of that yet. Next week I want to stitch the L*K stamp for February and hopefully make a start on LHN 'Home of a needleworker too'. I won the LHN pattern in a giveaway Ashley had last year on her blog. When the chart arrived Ashley had also snuck in all the Crescent Colours flosses I need to stitch it, talk about generous! I am really looking forward to stitching it.
Well off now to do some ironing :-(
Then off to MIL & FIL's for dinner :-)
Happy Sunday,

Time to 'fess up!

Okay, I know this is a little early but I coludn't resist
I'll finish it into a little scissor fob.........sometime!

Is it just me?

Last week my brother sent me this wonderful package......

....be still my heart! Cue lots of ooohh's and aaahh's and stroking from moi.

I spent wednesday and thursday doing extra house work so that on friday I had a clear day, and a clear conscience, to spend the whole day putting all that beautiful floss onto bobbins.

I had a great day! Seriously I loved it!

So. Is it just me? Or would a day like that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside too?

But, you know what this means! No! It can't be true, but it must be, I guess there is no way to deny it. I can't hide my true self any longer! I'm.........I'm..............I'm .....................

...I'm a flosstitute!

Off to fondle my floss now,
