Another week, another new start.

This is the 'Red Snowman' from Shepherds Bush. I saw this on
Tammys' blog and just had to have it, also thanks to Tammy for the help about working with the silk floss :-) Isn't the fabric gorgeous, I can't wait to put in my first stitches.
This week I have been stitching on exchange pieces and today I finish-finished two of them. They will go in the post at the start of next week so hopefully there will be some pics soon. Yipee!
As you know last Sunday was Fathers day. I got up at 7:30am and left DH in bed to have a lie in. This is what I found in the kitchen.

Our daughter Caitlin making a hand sewn present for her Daddy. Now isn't that a wonderful thing to wake up to. Here is what she made.

Isn't it great, and Daddy loved it too. For the time being I am overlooking the fact that she used cellotape to finish off her floss ends! Eeeekk! Don't worry I feel a few lessons coming up in the summer holidays. We have put it in the special box where we keep allsorts of things that the kids have made us over the years. It is real fun to look through already.
Finally here is a pic of me and my Dad. Sorry about the glare off the specs, it's a tactic we use to take the focus off my double chin and dads lack of hair! :-)

Well, I hope you all have wonderful weekends,
Sadie x

Both are precious pics... of your DD stitching, and you/your Dad.
P.S. Your DD looks just like you!
How sweet of your DD - definitely something to treasure! Your dad looks really young and you do definitely favor. Nice pics!
How special will that little bit of stitching be over the years. Lovely to see her following in mum's footsteps
The project your DD did for her Dad is precious. Certainly something to treasure.
Love the color of your new project!
What a sweetie your daughter is, she did a great job of it too.
I love the colour of the fabric for the red snowman, cant wait to see it stitched up
Have fun with the new start, looks cute! How great your daughter (who looks just like you) wants to start stitching and did a great job on her Father's Day gift!
I loved Tammy's snowman too and look forward to seeing yours :) That is just so precious and sweet of your daughter, what a gift to treasure :)
LOL, tape. That is so cute! What a wonderful thing to each her. She did a great job. Your so blessed with such a wonderful family.
Adorable pic of your dd making the most awesome gift for her dad!! Precious!
Great pic of you and your dad too!
The eyeglass glares totally work...I still don't see your double chin or your dad's lack of hair!! ...lol....
Can't wait to see your SB grow, cause this is an awesome design...and on that fabric too!
How wonderful to find your daughter stitching! Looks like you have some fun projects planned. Is that the fabby I sent you for Christmas? Kinda looks like it, but I can't tell LOL.
I've stitched three of the things you sent -- Love You Mom, Love You Dad and the Scottish Heather kit -- and have all three framed. Am working on the horse and will get another mini frame for it! I'll have to take pics. Been working so much that I haven't had much time to stitch, but hours going back to normal, so I will have some XS time!
Happy stitching!
What a sweet gift. Its the little things like that which are treasured most.
Looking forward to your start on that gorgeous fabbie!
Fabulous photos. Everyone a keeper.
I can't wait to see more of the new start.
That must have been a really beautiful thing to wake up too. She done a fantastic job as well and I am sure that Daddy will treasure it always! Great pics!
Awww.. how sweet of your little girl :o) I enjoyed looking at your blog. You have some really nice stitching projects.
Cute photos and sweet gift but yes the tape has got to go. Love your humor!
Sadie, I love the photo of your daughter stitching her precious gift. The intensity reflected in her face, to get her stitching just right, is a gift in itself!
If you ever make a memory book of all of the things that kids have made or given you, you should make sure and include this photo along with her stitchery. It is SO dear. . .
And I love the photo of you and your Dad, too! Neither one of you look old enough to have kids as old as they are!
And glare or no glare, I still don't see chins or a bald head. I see a wonderful photo of a Dad and his daughter, who obviously love each other very much!
Thanks SO much for sharing these special photos!!
