Time to Give

I have received a lot of exchanges recently. This is one of the things I sent out for my side of an exchange. Doesn't it look pretty!
Almost a shame to open it, but when my partner, Laurence, did open it, this is what she found inside.
'Good Things' by Lizzie*Kate, stitched on 28ct evenweave with DMC floss.
This is my first finish of 2009. WooHoo! Here's a little look at the side. I was lucky enough to have the ribbons to match the floss in my stash already. I have a bit of a 'thing' for ribbon!
I had the fabric I used for the backing already in my stash too! I used to work in a fabric shop, so have a little stash of bits and pieces of fabric squirelled away in a cupboard upstairs. I have a bit of a 'thing' about fabrics too! It's like Aladdins' cave in there!
I wanted to personalize this piece, but didn't want to stitch on the front. So, I stitched our names on the back, as well as the group name and the year.
Shame I had to give it away, but Laurence loves it so at least it is in a good, loving home.
Happy Friday!

Great finish! Isn't it grand when a plan comes together? I love having finishing stash on hand. It's always so much nicer than having to run to the store for everything!
